Excalibur Security: (843) 251-5015 (cell), 602-5522, 626-4183, 455-1903, 455-1904

If there is an emergency, call 911 first. After notifying 911, notify Excalibur Security dispatch at 602-5522 or 626-4183. If for some reason there is no answer at dispatch, 455-1903 or 455-1904 will put you in direct connection with the Supervisor at Excalibur. Excalibur officers have powers of arrest and are armed. Excalibur should be called in emergency and non-emergency situations. Since the Excalibur patrol officer is only patrolling Plantation Lakes and Avalon he is only a couple of minutes away.

Speeding Issues: The speeding problem can easily be changed with your help. There is a supervisor with the Horry County Police Department named Captain Dale Buchanan and he is over traffic enforcement. Captain Buchanan is in charge of where and when radar is set up. All you have to do is call him at 915-7965 and tell him that you live in Avalon. Inform him that there is a terrible speeding problem, and you want something done. His job is to respond to speeding complaints and do something about it. I have called him on several occasions and he has set up radar units right in the middle of Avalon on Stoney Falls Blvd. The more calls he receives, the more often he will send someone out. Captain Buchanan is a very nice person and extremely professional.
