You don't have to live in Carolina Forest very long before noticing the abundance of wildlife we have: deer, bear, otter, ducks, etc. Some have even seen bobcats and coyotes as well. Since the area has become more populated, many animals' habitats are being developed into communities. This forces these animals to find other areas and often results in human contact.
The most common wildlife in Avalon include deer, ducks, and the families of otters we have in our ponds. This wildlife is great to see; we should all be conscious of them when driving through the community. Very often the ducks will be seen crossing Stoney Falls Boulevard: more reason to follow the posted speeds.
Not so often we will have a stray bear in the community. They come in out of necessity or food supply. PLEASE, READ the article below; it's very informative and will explain how to handle such situations.
